Hindfoot (HF) Orthosis originally developed to control pain in the arthritic joint by limiting its motion, has evolved into a powerful device to stabilize the subtalar joint. Clinical tests show that this orthosis is remarkably effective for severe ankle sprains lacking M/L control, as well as some cases of AP intractability. The HF Orthosis fitsprecisely because it is custom molded to the foot. Fit doesn't rely on bulky padding or air stirrups found on other orthoses. This uniquely low-profile design yields exceptional wearer compliance.
The HF Orthosis is made of Multiform™ clear, which molds easily in temperatures to fit the left or right foot. Simply immerse in hot water for a few seconds to soften then mold to the hindfoot. Multiform's built-in "memory" means it won't collapse when reheated. A strap set and malleolus relief pads are included.
Sizing: Measure ankle circumference. For best fit, order shoe size or slightly smaller.
